LOGICDATA AND LCM
LOGICDATA’s competence in motor and actuator development powers industry-leading mechatronic technology: from brushless motors to fully integrated drive systems. Our long-standing partnership with the Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM) has helped us foster innovation and efficiency in this field, leading to the development of commercially successful solutions.
An initial contract for mechatronic simulations started the deep, well-coordinated collaboration between LCM and LOGICDATA back in 2012. This has resulted in a highly optimized drive technology development process that delivers smart solutions for customers while ensuring maximum cost efficiency.

LOGICDATA and LCM: Advanced Simulation for Brushless Motor Technology
The Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM) is a comprehensive R&D provider with services including advanced simulation, control engineering, and system optimization. This dovetails with LOGICDATA’s strength in the development of brushless motors and integrated drive systems, alongside in-house, European motor production from automated facilities in Hungary.
Close collaboration ensures that every aspect of motor design, control, and production is optimized from start to finish. LCM’s simulations enable LOGICDATA to refine and validate motor designs, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effective production.
“Developing brushless motor technology requires a holistic, system-level view. By working closely with LCM, we ensure that control strategies, electronics, and mechanical components are optimized as a whole. This approach allows for precise tuning of system performance while considering factors like production feasibility and cost efficiency from the start.”

European Motor Production: Focus on Cost Optimization
Cost-efficiency at the production phase is a key factor in drive system development, particularly for brushless motors. This makes the early optimization of motor design essential, and is a further example that shows the strength of the LOGICDATA-LCM partnership.
By leveraging LCM’s in-depth insights into LOGICDATA’s capabilities, specific optimizations can be implemented early in the concept phase. This is an important factor in reducing efforts and ensuring a more efficient, cost-effective development process.
First Joint Success: Over 1 Million Motors Sold
The partnership with LCM was crucial in the development of LOGICDATA’s first brushless motor, which has now been sold over one million times as part of the linear actuators in the DYNAMIC MOTION system.
Using the insights from LCM’s simulations, production and assembly take place in LOGICDATA’s facility in Hungary, ensuring efficiency end-to-end. The experience gained from the collaboration has strengthened LOGICDATA’s in-house expertise in both brushless motor development and European motor production, paving the way for future innovation and optimization.
