4 Great Reasons to Choose LOGICservice

July 16th, 2020

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our all-new package for manufacturers of adjustable furniture systems: LOGICservice.

LOGICservice is a unique range of resources that enables our partners to get the very best out of their LOGICDATA-powered systems, from the customization of stunning user-facing elements to optimization services for sound, performance, and compliance. As adjustable systems become more prominent in both the office and the home, consumers are becoming ever more discerning, increasing the need for manufacturers to provide that extra edge in a crowded market. Fortunately, we’ve got the tools to help you do just that, right here at our offices in Austria. Let’s look at four great reasons to choose LOGICservice, and how a partnership with LOGICDATA can make your products shine.

Before you start: Why not go to our brand new LOGICservice page and see the full range of options available?

1. It’s perfect for customizing your products

Increasing brand recognition is vital to market domination: with LOGICservice, you can do just that. LOGICservice gives you the opportunity to adapt our expansive collection of existing products, develop brand-new components, or even add a personal touch to our white-labeled apps and web solutions by adding your company’s logo, styling, and colors. In short, this is an in-house customization service that delivers greater power over look and feel than ever before.

You can get a taste for the vast possibilities our customization service has to offer with our HSU Configurator. Choose from a wide range of colors and designs to find a Hand Control that’s perfect for you.

Customization has been one of the great LOGICDATA successes of recent times, with 47 customized or branded Hand Controls created in the last two years, alongside two white-labeled versions of the MOTION@work app and seven customer-specific Actuators. Product Manager Jonas Neumair, who has helped oversee customizations for a variety of major brands, explains the process: “It starts with the customer: listening to what they want, how they would like their product to look and feel. Then we go through the design process collaboratively, providing regular drafts and prototypes throughout this journey. Once the design has been approved, the product is ready and can be ordered immediately. What we’re really doing is helping our customers put their brands at an important user touchpoint, which is then associated with the superior performance and responsiveness of our products.”

2. It brings the best out of your system

Having an awesome-looking product is only half the battle: when it comes to creating a truly successful mechatronic system, performance and reliability are defining characteristics. Our two decades’ experience in the business have taught us a thing or two about getting the most out of a system, however, which is why we offer our unique expertise as part of the LOGICservice package.

Head of Field Application Engineering (FAE), Andreas Wallner, explains the importance of collaboration in the development process: “Each customer system we make is tailored precisely to the needs of our customers: from specifics in power and efficiency to specialized parameters in our patented collision detection systems. What we tell our customers is to really think outside the box, to consider the system they really want, not just what they think is realistic. Then, we give our all to make it happen. I think our portfolio of previous projects, designed to very specific customer requirements, is testament to our ability to do just that”.

3. It reduces costly delays with certification

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is one of the most vital elements in the design of modern mechatronic systems and a vital step in ensuring product compliance and safety. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most frequently overlooked: a dangerous stumbling block on the road to developing an adjustable product that can cause unexpected delays and spiraling costs. At LOGICDATA, we do things differently. Instead of leaving things to chance at the certification stage, we offer our customers the chance to use our in-house anechoic chamber. This state-of-the-art facility allows you to iron out the issues in your product before it is sent for testing and certification, ensuring a higher rate of first-time test passes and saving you valuable time and money.

According to Compliance Engineer Christian Kefer, this is a game-changer: “The facility here at LOGICDATA is representative of the EMC testing processes you’ll find at the major certification bodies, whether that’s in the US or Europe. It makes sense to leave as little as possible to chance before it reaches the official testing stage, which is why using this LOGICservice beforehand can be of huge benefit to our partners.”

4. It helps your system run smoothly and quietly

In recent years, system noise has become an indispensable consideration for buyers of adjustable furniture across the world. This is especially true in large, open plan office spaces, where many desks operate in a single room. In short, the quieter your system runs, the greater its value to the market will be. It’s for this reason that LOGICservice provides expert advice when it comes to keeping unpleasant sounds to an absolute minimum. In our industry-standard sound chamber, our ergonomic experts test and analyze the entire noise spectrum for your products, suggesting optimizations based on scientific and psychological influences.

Mechanical engineer and sound specialist Mathias Mair explains more: “Alongside price, noise is really the key battleground that separates the weak from the strong in the market. Although we do our best to ensure that our products are smooth and quiet as standard – such as by utilizing brushless motor technology in our DYNAMIC MOTION system motors – system noise is dependent on many factors. It’s why this LOGICservice has so much value: by really exploring the topic in the development phase, our customers can be sure that their products are performing at their optimum before they are introduced into the field.”
